Bernice H. T. Riddle, 89 of Anderson died on Thursday, Mar. 10, 2022 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1932 in Evansville, IN and was the daughter of Herman A. and Nelda (Wittman) Henze. She graduated from Reitz High School, Evansville in 1950.
She later moved to Anderson in1955.
Bernice had been a faithful member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Anderson and enjoyed the Lunch Bunch for many years.
She loved her family and friends. She spent her time being a mother and Domestic Engineer all of her married life. Bernice enjoyed working in miniatures, needlework and reading later in life.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Tim Thompson, James (Linda) Thompson both of Anderson and Jeff (Kathie) Thompson of Indianapolis. Also surviving are her grandchildren Candice, Rachelle, Brittany, Tiffany, Christopher, Jamie Lee, Jason, Bradley, J. Neil and Samantha. Twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great—granddaughter. Her sister, Wandalee (Frank) Spindle of Haubstabt, IN; her brother, E. Ray Henze of Arizona. Step-chidren, Rick Thompson, Bob (Pat) Riddle, W. Joe (Cindi) Riddle, Darrell (Marie) Riddle and Gloria Riddle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her spouses, Vincent F. Thompson and Robert T Riddle; sons, Randy Thompson, Tom Thompson; a daughter, Sandra Thompson; a brother, Herbert Henze; a sister-in-law, Bette Henze and step-sons, Wayne and Thomas Riddle.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 19, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson with Rev. Matthew Boldizsar officiating. Friends may call at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2604 N Scatterfield Rd., Anderson from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2604 N Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN 46012 or in care of the funeral home.
