Barbara A Shanley, 85 of Alexandria died on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 in Summit Health & Living, Summitville after an extended illness.
Barbara was born in Cleveland, OH on June 12, 1936 and was the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Shock) Aldrich. She later married Joseph Shanley who survives.
She was a member of the Kappa Deta Phi Sorority, the Lutheran Ladies Aide and the Alex Band Boosters.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Joe Shanley, and her daughter, Joanna (Drew) Bussen. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, a cousin, Carol (Mark) Teaff-Oberman, and nieces and nephews, Nancy Garcia, Bub (Marge) Richardson and Diana (Phil) Reismiller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Joe Shanley and a daughter Lisa Buck.
Burial of Barbara’s cremains will take place in the Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Steubenville, OH at a later date.
