Audrey E. Costerison, 93 of Alexandria died Monday, December 23, 2019 after an extended illness at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Audrey was born in Mallard, IA on Dec. 28, 1925 and was the daughter of Leo and Leone (Wessor) Conlon. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1943. She married her first husband, L.C. Brown on Dec. 28, 1943. She married her second husband, Warren Costerison on Feb. 21, 1981.
She was employed at Delco Remy-Anderson from 1943 to 1985 in Plant #3.
Audrey was a faithful member of the Church of St. Mary’s in Alexandria. She was an avid IU Hoosiers and Indiana Pacers fan. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are her sons, Danny R. (Mary) Brown and Douglas J. (Christy) Brown. Step- Daughter, Barbara Baird. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Cie-J (Emily) Brown, Wesley Brown, Lakeley (Andrew) Rafert, McKenzie (Phil) Baird, step-grandchildren, Melissa Edwards, Alexis Edwards, Adisyn Gooding, Devon Gooding. great-grandchildren Alanna Brown, Kaelyn Brown and Magnolia Rafert and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, L.C. Brown in 1975 and Warren Costerison in 2003, sister Ann Moreland, brothers, Duane Conlon, Lyle Conlon and a step-granddaughter, Karrie Gooding.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Fr. Dan Duff as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
